A builder I work with contacted me about doing a plaster wall finish in the library of a custom home he was building in Lexington.  The owner  saw the same finish I did the year before in the library of a home he also built in Winchester.  She knew she wanted the same finish in her home.  This product, a weathered plaster, is the perfect choice for creating a sandstone finish with subtle texture.  As with many of the products I use, it can be custom-tinted to any Benjamin Moore color.  Here, the textured plaster was tinted to BM Camouflage 2143-40 and a tobacco pigment “wash” was applied over that.  As you can see from the before and after photos the finish is the perfect back drop for the dark, rich woodwork on the walls, ceiling and trim.
