There’s a new yoga studio in town. Roots Yoga, located at 220 Cambridge Street next to Schoolhouse Ice Cream will be opening next month. When deciding on colors for the space, the owner knew she wanted to use earthy, warm rich colors. She chose fiery orange-red walls that compliment the floors and darker pieces of furniture already in the space. She also wanted to add texture and warmth. A color wash is a great way to add interest and texture to a wall. After showing me a picture of a technique similar to what she was looking for, I was able to come up with a sample that was exactly what she wanted. The glazed, color washed walls gave the space just the right amount of texture, and she loves how it turned out!
