A friend of mine who recently purchased a condo on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire as me to paint a coffee table she liked that was plain and dark and not at all what she wanted for her rec room in the basement. She liked the style and size and wanted it to be painted to compliment the new furniture and colors she’d chosen for the space. I suggested painting it in a bright color to compliment the over-sized chair and ottoman and doing a glaze over it. This pretty shade of milk paint, General Finishes Persian Blue, was the perfect choice. A brown stried glaze added interest and softened the color. Two coats of satin varnish protect the finish. It looks great in the room, and she is so happy with the finish. It turned out to be one of my favorite pieces!
